Health and Social Care Consultant (Scotland)
Are you an experienced Adult Social Care professional with a detailed knowledge of the Care Inspectorate’s approach to inspections, including the Health and Social Care Standards and relevant Quality Frameworks? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
Care 4 Quality is actively recruiting for an Adult Social Care Consultant to support services across Scotland. This role requires nationwide coverage, so applicants must be able to work across all regions.
We are looking for self-employed consultants to carry out mock inspections across a range of adult social care services, including home care, care homes for adults, housing support and supported living services.
Our work is aligned with the Care Inspectorate’s approach, focusing on the Health and Social Care Standards and relevant Quality Frameworks, supporting services to understand their performance against quality indicators and expected outcomes.
About you
This is a flexible role that would suit a passionate and supportive person who is available part time to carry out inspections. This role could be undertaken alongside a current role or to suit some one’s own availability.
It is essential that you have experience in Adult Social Care and a strong understanding of the Health and Social Care Standards, alongside the Care Inspectorate’s approach to inspection, scrutiny and improvement. This should include knowledge of Quality Frameworks, quality indicators, and how services are evaluated and graded.
Experience of inspection, audit, governance, and involvement in inspections - either participating in or being part of a service inspected by the Care Inspectorate—is also required.
A clinical background (e.g. registered nurse or similar healthcare professional) would be advantageous but is not essential.
What we do
Care 4 Quality pride itself on providing detailed mock inspections whilst providing a supportive and guiding approach for our clients. We offer competitive rates and a fantastic team to become a part of.
What’s in it for you
We offer £420 - £500 per day for onsite visits and report write-up – most visits are 1 day on site, but as each service’s needs are bespoke, the job and fee would be discussed before booking.
